Capul Island, Philippines

Capul is a fifth class island municipality in the province of Northern SamarPhilippinesPrior to its founding as a town, Capul Island itself with its lighthouse built on the island, served as a guidepost for the Acapulco-Manila galleon trade vessels passing through the treacherous waters of San Bernardino Strait. It also served as the capital of Samar from 1848 to 1852.

Capul Island is a tourist destination as you can visit a lot of places here. They boast of a white beach, a lighthouse, an islet and caves.

I had vacation with my friends here.  It was a very relaxing trip I've ever had. No pollution and traffic . We stayed in the relatives of my bestfriend in 3 days.   Rental place here is very affordable but we so lucky because we got a free food and accommodation.

During my vacation here,  there's a lot of tourist spot that I found.  Like this picture it was taken outside the church of Capul.

Capul Church

The church of Capul, built during the Spanish Colonial Period, is dedicated to St. Ignatius of Loyola and is surrounded by a square fort with bulwarks of dissimilar designs. The church structure was actually the third that was built on the site. The first two structures, made of hard wood and nipa roofs, were razed when Moro pirates plundered the island in 1615 and 1768. In 1781, Fr. Mariano Valero, a Spanish architect-priest led the restoration of the church and built the stonewall fortress similar to that in IntramurosManila that would fortify it against Moro attacks.

Capul Island Lighthouse

Capul Island Lighthouse is a lighthouse on Titoog Point in San Luis on the northern tip of Capul Island, Northern Samar in thePhilippines. It marks the western entrance to the San Bernardino Strait coming in from Ticao Pass.
Construction on the lighthouse was started on October 1893 and it was first lit on December 1896 while the station was still partially complete. Work was suspended a month before on November 1896 on the onset of the Philippine Revolution.
The Capul Island Lighthouse together with the Batag Island Lighthouse were declared provincial historical landmarks by the province of Northern Samar in October 2008

Caramoan Islands, Philippines - Amazing Place!

Caramoan Island is located in a first-class municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines. It is located at the tip of the

Caramoan is bounded on the north by the town of Garchitorena and the Philippine Sea of the Pacific Ocean; on the northeast by the island province of Catanduanes; on the south by Lagonoy Gulf; on the east by the Maqueda Channel and on the west by the municipality of Presentacion.
The municipality covers approximately 277.41 square kilometres (107.11 sq mi) with approximately 71 kilometres (44 mi) of irregular coastline surrounded by the vast ocean, bay, seas and swamps. It is approximately 500 kilometres (310 mi) from Metro Manila; 95 kilometres (59 mi) from the municipality of Pili, where the seat of the provincial government and the Naga Domestic Airport are located; and 110 kilometres (68 mi) east from Naga City, the heart of Bicol.

Off the coast of the peninsula are numerous small islets. The 10 principal islands of the group are:
Baging,Cagbanilad,Catanhawan,Cotivas,Lahus,Lahuy,Matukad,Minalahos,

Pitogo and Sabitang.

We had vacation here year 2009. Travelling in Caramoan was really hard. However, you will forget all the hardships when u see the wonders of the place. The place was so amazing! We took 2 hours boat ride from the port of Sabang to Caramoan town. We took a boat when we went in every island. Water is so clear. We saw some starfish in  white sandy beaches. Caves and lagoons. We did island hopping, camping, kayaking and other activities. We stayed in the rest house of my friend which is located around the area. We took 3 days in exploring the place. I'm looking forward to return visit.
Here are some pictures that we're taken during our vacation here:
